The right tool for the job

We currently operate seven UAVs of different types, each one suited to a particular type of work. This means we can offer the best machine to match the demands of your project. We have the expertise and experience to build our own UAVs from scratch, so most of our UAVs are either custom-built in-house or bought in and then heavily modified: this means we are able to optimise each machine to do a particular job without being limited by the "one-size-fits-all" restrictions that come with purchasing machines off the shelf.

All our UAVs are rotary-wing machines giving the greatest possible flexibility of flight profiles, including vertical take-off and landing in restricted spaces and the ability to hover. We are in the process of adding a fast fixed-wing UAV to our fleet, which will give us the ability to conduct high-speed mapping of very large sites.

CarbonCore Cortex octocopter

This is our heavy-duty workhorse, used for everything from video and stills photography to industrial inspection work. With eight powerful motors it's able to lift heavy cameras and lenses mounted in a precision 3-axis stabilised gimbal, and can stay in the air for up to 20 minutes. Our Cortex is usually configured for industrial inspection with a Sony full-frame digital SLR camera and a powerful 11x zoom lens, which allows us to image fine structural details from a safe distance.

DJI Inspire 1 Pro quadcopter

Our go-to machine for all kinds of operations due to its speed, versatility, and ease of operation. Much lighter, smaller, and nimbler than our Cortex octocopter, it's better suited to flying in confined urban and industrial work-sites.

Custom mapping quadcopter

This is a custom-built lightweight quadcopter designed specifically for mapping assignments on steep and hilly ground. A precision laser altimeter enables it to accurately follow the contours of the ground, thus giving a consistent image resolution throughout a survey. This is not possible when using standard survey drones, which fly at a constant altitude regardless of the terrain beneath them, and therefore give inconsistent image resolution when flying over hilly or steep terrain. Our mapping quadcopter is able to fly at high speed for up to half an hour on a single battery, enabling us to survey large sites very quickly.

We also fly several standard DJI drones, such as the Phantom 4 Pro and Mavic 2 Pro, as well as a tiny Parrot Anafi which is ideally suited to inspection work in confined areas.
